Dan-List Dowel Boring Machine Model BM 1800

Dan-List BM 1800 is a manually operated dowel boring machine.

It is a sturdy, rock solid machine which works with three adjustable boring units (more can be added upon request) and the boring units can be placed either horizontally and vertically or both.

The Dan-List BM 1800 has a simple but flexible design, based on a very strong and solid machine frame and is quite simply built to last.

For example the Dan-List BM 1800 can be equipped with:

• boring units for boring top/bottom,
• boring units for boring from the side (adjustable for mitres up to 45°),
• boring units for boring end/in,
• boring units for boring under/up,
• boring units for boring under/up,
• clamping cylinders after order.

It is ideal machine for manually boring horizontally and vertically of work pieces. The Dan-List BM 1800 works with curved as well as plain work pieces e.g. armrests.

Safety:

The Dan-List BM 1800 is very safe and simple to operate.

As operator safety is a keyword for Dan-List BM 1800 the machine has safety guards to protect the operator from touching the items as well as a dual hand operation.

This prevents the operator from any contact with any moving parts during working cycle as both hands must be placed on the buttons to complete a full cycle.

If the operator accidently removes the fingers from one button, the machine stops immediately.

The working cycle is as follows:

1. The workpiece is placed manually in position,
2. The pneumatic foot pedal is activated to clamp the workpiece,
3. Both buttons are activated and when the correct boring depth has been reached, the boring unit returns automatically to starting position and stops.

As the machine is operated manually, the capacity depends on the operator.

The set up of the machine is easy and operator friendly. The operator loosen two handles on the carriers for the boring units, slide the boring units to correct position and lock the handles again.

To make the set up even easier it is possible to add flip stops so the operator just slide the boring units against the flip stops and tighten the handles. Another alternative is also to equip the carriers with digital read outs, so correct position is easily found.

The boring unit revolve 90°around its own axis, and the boring head itself, revolve 360° around its own axis
