Dan-List Dowel Boring Machine Model BASP 2200 Leg Machine

Dan-List BASP 2200 is a semi-automatic multifunctional dowel boring machine with hopper feed, including scoring unit and 90 degree cutting units. BASP 2200 consists of two separate machine frames connected with a conveyor. Dan-List BASP 2200 has four separate working stations and when the work piece is finished it is returned to the operator next to the machine on runners.

It is a compact and solid machine which works standard with two scoring units, two sawing units for 90 degree cutting, one router for grooving and seven adjustable boring units for end, top and side borings (more can be added upon request).

The Dan-List BASP 2200 has a simple but flexible design, based on two traditional, very strong and solid machine frames connected with conveyor system, including safety guards and is quite simply built to last.

Dan-List BASP 2200 is a solid, reliable and efficient dowel boring machine, which guarantees a trouble free production run.

The machine is ideal for legs of any kind, but is very flexible and can be used for other components as well.

Due to the special construction with two machine frames and several working stations, the Dan-List BASP 2200 has a very high capacity - up to 400 work pieces per hour.

Equipment:

Standard the Dan-List BASP 2200 is equipped as follows:

• 1 pcs hopper feed,
• 2 pcs scoring units,
• 2 pcs sawing,
• 1 pcs router,
• 1 pcs boring unit for boring from the ends,
• 3 pcs boring units for boring from the top,
• 3 pcs boring units for boring from the side,
• 6 pcs clamping cylinders,
• Delivery system back to operator on runners next to the machine.

The boring unit revolve 90° around its own axis, and the boring head itself, revolve 360° around its own axis.

Safety:

As safety for the operator is a keyword on all Dan-List machines, all safety guards which can be opened contain safety switches so if the operator accidently opens a safety guard during production the machine stops.

Or if a safety guard has not been closed properly after set up, the machine will not start.

All safety features are monitored in the PLC control, and can be seen on the touch screen, if any safety devices are activated.

It is impossible for the operator to access the machine in any way during production.

PLC:

The PLC contains many features, for example:

• On/off function for each boring unit,
• Time controlled cleaning function of drilling,
• Programmable counter,
• Adjustable time for air blowing of drilled work pieces,
• Adjustable speed of infeed pusher,
• Touch screen in English ( also available in local language ),
• Possibility to add Ethernet connection in order to access the PLC online from our factory,
• Individual requests.

Working Procedure:

The working cycle of Dan-List BASP 2200 is the following:

1. Choose which units (scoring, sawing, routing or drilling units) should be activated and which should be deactivated,
2. Start the machine,
3. The workpieces are pushed into the machine and clamped pneumatically,
4. In the first working station the scoring unit prepares the work piece for 90 degree cutting,
5. In the second working station, the 90 degree cutting is done as well as the groove is being made,
6. Third station is drilling from end and from the top,
7. Then the workpiece is taken from the third station with the conveyor to the second machine frame,
8. The fourth working station is on the actual conveyor where the piece is clamped and drilled,
9. The finished work piece is then delivered back to operator on runners.

Individual delivery systems such as through feed system, stacking units etc. are also available.

As the machine always works with items in each of the four working stations, this increases the capacity significantly compared to a traditional dowel boring machine with only one working station. This is especially very useful for cross drillings to avoid collision.

Set-up:

The set-up of the machine is easy and operator friendly.

The operator loosen two handles on the carriers for the boring units, slide the boring units to correct position and lock the handles again.

Each boring unit has a digital reader so correct position is easily found.
